UPDATE: Students and staff are safe. Law enforcement has confirmed the device in the Enumclaw Middle School courtyard was a cell phone battery that caught fire after being thrown to the ground. The fire was immediately extinguished. We have confirmed there were no injuries. Students and staff are still safely evacuated, and law enforcement has cleared the school and surrounding exterior. We will provide you with any additional information once it has been received.

Enumclaw Middle School has been evacuated by the Enumclaw Police Department after a small explosive device detonated outside in the school courtyard. Students and staff are safely evacuated. We will provide updates as soon as we receive them.

REMINDER: To recover lost instructional time from closures during the November Cyclone windstorm, Friday, March 21, and Friday, May 23, are now REGULAR SCHOOL DAYS. Please note that these are NOT early release days, as they must meet state instructional hour requirements.

Reminder: Due to missed days of school earlier in the year, school will be in session on the calendared School Makeup Days on March 21 and May 23, 2025. Please note that both days are a full school day schedule, not Friday early release.


SCHEDULED DOWNTIME: Skyward will be down for scheduled maintenance on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Maintenance should be complete by 9:00 pm.


Due to weather conditions, all Enumclaw School District schools will operate on a two-hour delay. There will be no out-of-district transportation. AM/PM Buses are running on snow routes. Our early release schedule is cancelled and students will attend school until the regular release time. Birth to Five Programs: TK will operate on a two-hour delay. ECEAP and Developmental Preschool are canceled.

Register now for the Spring 2025 Guiding Good Choices workshop provided by Enumclaw Youth Empowered.
Enumclaw Youth Empowered is a local coalition working to educate, engage, and empower our community to support youth and families in the prevention of youth substance abuse.
In partnership with the Enumclaw School District, they will once again be offering Guiding Good Choices on Tuesdays this October.
This workshop is FREE to parents and caregivers of kids ages roughly 9-14. DINNER and CHILDCARE are included!
Taught by a licensed therapist specializing in youth, this workshop helps caregivers learn how to:
Strengthen family bonds
Reduce family conflict
Support kids to build resistance skills
Set clear family rules to keep kids safe and make positive choices

Enumclaw School District offers a full-day kindergarten program at no cost to parents. Registration for new kindergarten students begins February 28, 2025. Please register your upcoming kindergarten students using our website: www.enumclaw.wednet.edu
Families can submit /upload the following documentation during online registration:
- Proof of Age
(Birth Cert., Family Bible, Certified Statement, etc.)
- Proof of Address
(Lease, Utility Bill, etc.)
- WA State Immunization Record that shows requirements have been met
Children must be 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2025, for enrollment. For information about orientation, please contact your neighborhood school."

Kibler's Food Drive Starts February 3rd!
We’re excited to announce that our school will be competing against other elementary schools in a food drive to benefit local families. The donation competition is based on weight, so heavier items are the best!
In addition, each class in our school will compete within their grade groups: K-2nd and 3rd-5th. The competition for the classrooms are per items counted. Let’s work together to bring in as many donations as possible!

Join Us for a Movie Night at The Chalet Theatre on Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:30 PM (Doors open at 5:45 PM for concessions).
We’ll be screening Elemental, cash or check only for payment, made payable to Kibler PTA.
