The Kibler third graders have been working on opinion writing, this project had students researching countries that consume insects as a good food source. They read articles that focused on the pros and cons of eating insects. Then they had to pick a side and support their opinion with evidence from the articles we read. As an end of the unit activity students got to eat various insects and cookies made with cricket flour. They had so much fun!
