SCHOOL PROFILE

Byron Kibler Elementary building

We're excited for another year of learning at Byron Kibler Elementary! As a staff we continue to be focused on building a solid foundation in academics and social-emotional skills for our students. Our school-wide expectations, show respect, solve problems, and make good choices are actively reviewed during our fourth annual "Bear Week." Fostering a safe, productive, and caring community is at the heart of our journey as a school.

Last year Kibler implemented strategic read/book club time blocks at each grade level. We've seen solid growth in our students as readers and we continue to refine instruction and student engagement during these blocks.  All Enumclaw School District elementary staff will participate in professional development around math instruction this year. In the area of science, we use newly adopted TCI Science Curriculum and Mystery Science to captivate learners.

Collaboration is an essential component of our work. Each Friday, staff meet in teams to plan support for all students. This year, teachers are working to create opportunities to collaborate with other grade levels during this time.

Kibler's PTA continues to support every student with classroom grants, volunteer hours, and community events. We'd love for you to join the amazing things happening at Kibler, on the PTA, as a classroom volunteer, or by joining our school-wide volunteer team!

We welcome your open and honest feedback. Feedback is accepted face-to-face, written, or electronically. Please send written and electronic information to the school building's main office or to the District office. We also offer a variety of committees that parents and citizens can participate in.
